Three Oaks Circle is an Affordable Independent Living Community in Milwaukee

Celebrating 20 years in 2023, Three Oaks Circle is the fulfillment of the dreams of the Indian Council of the Elderly, the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi, and the School Sisters of St. Francis to provide affordable, independent housing for seniors who wish to reside on the southwest side of Milwaukee. 

Residents of Three Oaks Circle must be at least 62 years of age and are required to meet certain income restrictions as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Qualifying residents will only be required to pay 30% of their gross adjusted income as their monthly rent charge.

    Mona Schmalz

    Community Manager

    Mona has worked in all areas of property management for over five decades, over 20 of those years have been with Capri Communities. As Community Manager, Mona leads with experience, empathy, and a strong sense of purpose. She takes pride in making a positive impact on residents’ lives, even in the smallest ways. She finds inspiration in the lessons residents have taught her, especially in the importance of resilience and wholehearted love.

    Outside of work, Mona enjoys life by traveling and reading. Known for her sense of humor and passion for helping others, she lives by the motto: “If you’re not doing things to help make this world a better place, it’s not worth doing.

    Kathryn Rambo

    Resident Coordinator

    Three Oaks Circle is excited to welcome Kathryn back as Resident Coordinator. She held this position for several years and is ready to jump right back in! Kathryn has over 40 years of experience in music therapy working with individuals with autism, cognitive disabilities, brain injuries, mental health issues, abuse survivors, at risk children and hospice and palliative care patients. She also spent many years as an adjunct faculty at Alverno College teaching undergraduate courses in communication. Kathryn is looking forward to incorporating her music therapy background into the lives of her residents. Kathryn is a music enthusiast and her passion is making music accessible to everyone. In her free time, it should be no surprise that she enjoys playing her collection of antique Tibetan singing bowls, playing her autoharp, singing, exploring antique shops and having coffee with friends. The residents are fortunate to have Kathryn back and she is excited to bring her love of music and zest for life back to Three Oaks Circle.
