Erin Gutsmiedl

Executive Director

Erin is our amazing Executive Director at Grace Commons! Erin had always seen herself on the acute side of care, but her first position out of college was in a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) and she fell in love. Erin loves that she gets the opportunity to love and care about the residents in the community and make a difference in their lives. Erin prides herself in coming to work every day with genuine care, follow through and love. Something working with the residents has taught Erin is that there is joy in everything you do, sometimes you just have to look deep to find it! On the days Erin isn’t at Grace Commons you might find her reading a book on her patio with a cup of coffee, spending time with her family at cookouts, bonfires and kids adventures or putting a new stamp on her passport.

Dawn Graham

Regional Outreach Liaison

If you haven’t met Dawn yet, chances are that she will seek you out. Friendly and outgoing, Dawn is a people person who loves to meet new friends and learn their stories. Senior living is a perfect fit for Dawn as she loves to stay busy and help people enjoy their lives. Caring and kind, Dawn likes to stay active, playing tennis and golf or hitting the local pool for a swim. Her motto is to “treat every person you meet with kindness, as you never know what someone is going through”. True indeed! When Dawn was little, she dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, but today she is happy to be caring for her own children, kittens and the residents of Grace Commons – and we couldn’t be happier to have her with us!

Katy Cornell

Community Relations Manager

Katy brings a diverse background in healthcare and sales to Grace Commons. She has spent many years working with seniors both directly and indirectly. Her career began in physical therapy, where she worked as an aide assisting older adults. She then transitioned into pharmaceutical sales, helping physicians select life-saving medications for their senior patients. After joining Capri Communities as the Sales Coordinator at Ruby Commons, she continued her love of working with older adults in her current role at Grace Commons. She is dedicated to engaging with residents, bringing smiles to their daily lives, and helping families discover the many benefits of Grace Commons.

Outside of work, Katy stays busy as the mom of five children who are active in musical theater, volleyball, basketball and soccer. She and her husband Tim enjoy life together as a family, especially during vacations. When Katy finds a rare moment to herself, she enjoys reading historical fiction novels.
